Why priming matters
A new coil’s cotton is dry. Firing it before the cotton is soaked burns it instantly – and a burnt coil never tastes right again.
Step by step
- Fill the pod (or tank) to just below the max line.
- Close it and let it stand for 5 minutes – 10 minutes for thick, high-VG liquids.
- Take 3–4 puffs without firing (or with the device off) to pull liquid into the cotton.
- Start at a low power setting for the first few minutes, then increase.
Make coils last longer
- Don’t chain-vape – give the cotton a few seconds to re-soak.
- Refill before the liquid drops below the coil’s wicking holes.
- Very sweet liquids gunk coils faster – expect shorter life.
